Ilbum grew up near Boston. He studied philosophy with a focus on ethics. After studies, he worked varied jobs and maintained his passion for serving others. He started a free coding camp, martial arts, and tutoring program, led a team at Pine Street Inn (for poverty alleviation), was a substance abuse advocate, and worked on North Korean human rights awareness.

 

In 2018 he decided to move to the Bay Area to focus on building startups as an expression of his faith. He actively audits courses, reads, writes, exercises, philosophizes, makes art, and hopes to become a pourover coffee master.
