MEMBERSHIP CLASS
Membership is a way to make a covenant with a local church body. It is a commitment to partner with the people, the leadership, and the mission at Risen. Membership is also a two-way covenant where Risen's leadership (staff and elders) and other members commit to care for you. In this class, you will learn about Risen's history, our vision, core principles, distinctive theological positions, and what it looks like practically to be a member at Risen.
BAPTISM CLASS
Baptism is a sign and seal of the covenant of grace made by God through Jesus and extended to us (WCF 28.1). As we Share Christ and Make Disciples according to Jesus' great commission, we are to baptize those who put their faith in him in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19). This class will go over the theological significance of baptism and help you discern if this next step is for you. Membership is a pre-requisite for baptism at Risen. For child baptisms, membership of the parents is necessary.
