THE GOSPEL
CREATIVE ARTS MINISTRY
At Risen, we believe all of life is about worship. We were created by God to worship Him alone. While worship can take many different forms, our Creative Arts Ministry seeks to share Christ and make disciples through music, song, and visual design.

What we do... Our church gathers weekly on Sunday mornings for a time of praise, a message and fellowship. Our role is to orchestrate the Sunday service flow, praise set, visuals, audio and live stream with excellence so that congregants and guests can engage the service with no distractions. We are aiming for an increasing worship of our LORD that goes beyond our Risen Sunday service and into the daily lives of our congregation.
COMPASSION & JUSTICE
Scripture reveals that God cares deeply about the poor, the widow, the orphan, the foreigner, and the disenfranchised. We want to honor God by working for justice, and by showing His compassion through tangible acts of love. We are committed to work, learn, listen, and pray toward this end.

What we do... Our church has partnered with several local, non-profit organizations to pursue justice and show compassion in the city of Hayward and beyond. OPERATIONS MINISTRY
The Operations Team exists to share Christ and Make disciples by getting better and better at removing all physical barriers to people coming to saving faith and growing as disciples at Risen through setup and teardown.

What we do... Our operations ministry is responsible for setting up and breaking down Risen's worship room, lobby, and children's classrooms every Sunday. Without the Ops team, church simply can't happen! We take our role seriously, pursuing excellence as we set up each room for people to encounter the Lord in beautiful ways, perhaps even for the first time. While we take our role seriously, we also have fun together in the process!
RISENKIDS MINISTRY
RisenKids' exists to share Christ and make disciples by cherishing and biblically teaching our children, caring for and equipping our parents, creating a culture where families share Christ with non-believers and disciple one another, and fostering a sense of spiritual responsibility for the kids and families among the rest of the church.

We don't just believe that our children are the next generation of the church, but the current generation. Our children are active and invaluable members of our church, and so we give them our best in ways that suite each stage of their development as we bring them along with us to participate in church life. Our kids keep the gospel shining bright at Risen!
What we do... RisenKids uses The Gospel Project curriculum for our PreK, K, and Elem age kids. The Gospel Project provides a chronological, Christ-centered Bible study plan with activities, lessons, questions and weekly handouts for every age group. https://www.gospelproject.com/
RisenKids also has a Nursery where we plant biblical seeds of faith and gospel-identity through an interactive story and song time.

CONNECTIONS MINISTRY
Connections ministry exists to share Christ and make disciples by sharing the love of Christ with newcomers, fostering relationships with them, and inviting them deeper into church life.

What we do... Our Connections team members are the first people you see when you walk into Risen. They are the ones greeting, maintaining the hospitality area, and ushering you into service. They are also the ones you do not see, as they followup with newcomers midweek and intentionally create fellowship environments for people to become more comfortable in our community, until they can call Risen their home.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY
Risen Women’s Ministry exists to share Christ and make disciples by equipping women for the same cause. We value the importance of spending time with other women to build close relationships, live life alongside on another, and model Christlikeness through our own actions.

What we do... We offer fellowship, teaching, and service opportunities for women who desire to grow in their faith, be discipled, or disciple others.
MEN'S MINISTRY
Men's Ministry exists to share Christ and make disciples by bringing men together to spur each other on towards Christlikeness and faithful obedience to God's word. ​​

What we do... we offer opportunities for men to get together in fellowship with the goal of fostering deep and intentional friendships. Our prayer is that these gospel-centered friendships would serve to build up Christ's body and rally His people around the vision of His kingdom come.
